Illuminations Investiture Overture

John Crawford created a live video mix that captured site-specific live images of dancers from multiple location as they moved across the UC Irvine campus, choreographed by Lisa Naugle. The images of the dancers were processed with the Active Space intermedia performance system to create a continously-changing abstract video collage featuring the dancers on location, which was projected live in the theatre as the audience took their seats for Chancellor Howard Gilman’s investiture.
